Professor Anna Secor to deliver Belfast pre-conference Keynote

The organisers of the IGU Commission on Political Geography pre-conference (Belfast, 2024) are delighted to announce that Professor Anna Secor (Durham University) will deliver a keynote address entitled ‘Difference and the Politics of Feeling’, kindly sponsored by the journal Environment and Planning C: Politics and Space.

Professor Anna Secor

Anna is feminist cultural and political geographer whose work has contributed greatly to feminist political and cultural geography over the past two decades. She was recently a co-editor of the Wiley Blackwell Companion to Political Geography.

The strands of Anna’s work converge on questions of difference, politics, and space. Her engagement with spatial theory interrogates the concept of ‘difference’, how it emerges, how it becomes political, and what is at stake in the process.

The call for panel and abstract commissions closed on March 1st 2024.
