The journal Geopolitics will award $200 to the best PGR paper presented at the Political Geography Pre-Conference at Queen’s University Belfast 22-24 August 2024. The winner will also be invited to submit the paper to Geopolitics. The award welcomes submissions that are conceptually, methodologically, and empirically innovative from across the broad spectrum of political geography.
To be eligible, applicants must be presenting their paper at the Belfast pre-conference, and be university PhD candidates/PGR students who have not yet graduated by 1 July 2024.
Eligible candidates will be invited to submit a 6,000 word paper by 1 July 2024. The submissions will be judged by a committee of sub-disciplinary specialists, and the winner will be announced during the pre-conference.
